As usual, here is an honest review. Ignore all other reviews, as I'm not stupid, well, I'm not usually stupid but I backed into my garage, hence why I had to order this set of replacement lights for my 07 king ranch f250.Ford dealer wanted $117 for one. I paid much less here for two.I have never taken apart a mirror on this truck before. Total time from start to finish for both sides was 15 minutes.Lights appear to be the exact same quality as ford OEM. They are molded properly, and look very nice. The lights are 10 lumens brighter than the ford OEM which isn't much. (tested in dark garage) If you are replacing these lights to add brightness, I would not purchase the smoked version. I did not buy the clear ones, but I am guessing the clear lenses should be even brighter than the smoked ones as they utilize the same LED system.Tools needed: flat head screwdriver and a flash light. That is it. No other tools are needed.Step #1: Your mirror is held on by four small tabs. (not 3, which the instruction manual stated) Four horizontal and one vertical. The vertical will be the lower outside part of the mirror on both sides. Push the tabs to release and push out on the tab slightly, and each of the four tabs will loosen, and the whole front cover of the mirror will pop off. Even if you have powered mirrors, don't be afraid to move them all around manually. You're not going to break it. Angle the mirror so you can get your screw driver back in there to push. Use the flash light to see the tabs.Step #2. Unplug the lighting harness connector. It simply pulls apart. Now you have the mirror cover and lens disconnected completely from the truck.Step #3. THIS IS IMPORTANT, and many reviewers here can't think outside the box, so they couldn't figure this out. Take 7 seconds and unclip the wiring harness on the truck from it's little hook. You simply lift the harness up and over a little pointy tab, and WOW, THE HARNESS IS NOW PLENTY LONG ENOUGH TO PLUG INTO YOUR NEW LIGHT! I have heated, auto dimming, powered mirrors, so my lights have the same, or more crap in them as yours. Unlatching the harness from the retainer will be helpful during reassembly.Step #4. Remove the (probably broken) LED lens from the front part of the mirror (that is in your hand now). This is not brain surgery, and looking at it will show you how to remove it. Pinch the two tabs one one side which releases the lens, and it slides right out.Step #5. Grab your new lens, line up the three angled clips first, and push the lens into the mirror cover. Because the lens isconcaved, it will appear it won't fit. Trust me, line up the three tabs, and push. It will slide in, and then the two locking tabs should snap into place on the other side. I had to use the flat head screw driver to wedge out one of the tabs on one of the mirrors to make it spread apart.Step #6. Walk back to your truck, plug in the harness. The harness will have a lot of slack since you are not stupid, and you unhooked the harness from the retainer earlier in step #3. The harness will not pop or snap, because there is no retainer. It's simply a plug. I would recommend testing the lights before you snap the tabs back in to make sure your connection is good. To accomplish this, turn on your parking lights and your flashers. You will have 4 solid LED lights facing forward, and 4 flashing lights facing towards the rear of your truck.Step #7. Line up the OUTSIDE OF THE COVER to the mirror on your truck. Once you believe you are lined up, grab your flashlight, move the mirror around again and verify all four tabs are lined up. Once this has been verified, I just slapped the mirror cover a couple times and all of the tabs snapped into place. I'm not saying you should treat it like Chris Brown out with Rihanna, but with enough force to force the tabs into place.Step #8. You are done. Now go back to amazon and laugh at the people who struggled with this simple task, and be proud that you have higher motor and problem solving skills of a 7 year old.It took me longer to type this review than it took to install the lights. Good luck!
