This light is well built, metallic, so that means heavy by my standard, but I prefer heavy metal instead of cheap plastic. Metal tends to last longer so this is a good choice.Installation was pretty straight forward, I mounted on a wall.After I fully charged it, I left it on the low setting, and it stayed illuminated the entire night.The remote works as expected, I tested it from about 10 feet away and the light was responsive.I am more than satisfied with the brightness of this lightIt’s a good light.I bought these lights for my house up north, because we have over an acre of land and I needed top-quality lights that are super bright. I liked the idea behind motion detection lights without any wires and that operate with remote control for easy on and off switches and adjusting of light brightness.They run for a very long time (18 hours with full brightness and 36 hours in dim mode). This lights up the yard slightly for when the dogs go out at night, they can see and I can easily monitor them. I use my remote to adjust the light when they are too far and the dim lighting mode is not enough.I thought after buying I would be confused about setting these up, but all I did was mount the lights on the pole and they were not heavy at all. They weighed around 22 pounds, so even my wife and boys were able to help install them. My sons enjoy using the light to play basketball in the yard at night, and my wife feels at ease in the dark. Great purchase!I love the light!! Only thing I would change would be to make it more adjustable. I will need to purchase a tall pole to mount it on the get it to illuminate a larger area. My home is a single story and the facia is kind of low so the light really doesn't cover as large of an area as it would on a taller pole. But on the good side, you will have a remote where you can control the light which would be great when you want to change the light level or mode directly from inside the home. I love it and i'm sure you will too. Highly recommendedThe brightest light I have in my home is probably this one. The driveway area near my backyard was completely dark. Since critters avoid bright areas, I bought it largely to keep raccoons and possums away from taking shelter under our vehicles. To disperse the light, I had to mount it at a great distance up my large oak tree.It has a large solar panel but it will gather wind so be certain to mount it firmly. The installation went rather smoothly. In order to increase stability, I mounted it on a 6" plank. Simply drill the holes in advance, and then secure the mount with the supplied screws.Before installing, charge it entirely in the sun for a day, then check the brightness and range. You shouldn't undervalue the brightness. Before drilling, determine the optimum distance and ideal brightness.The solar street lights are easy to install and they work as stated. I installed it in the yard behind the house.It is convenient for my child’s outdoor activities at night.It is intelligent light.When you get close to it ,the light is bright.when you away from it,the light turn back to energy savings mode.And you don’t need to control it,the light is fully automatic, charging at daytime and lighting at night.It is good workmanship and quality,And I think it will save me a lot of money. It even includes the pole and it is very sturdy and durable, easy to installIt is extremely brightness to get the area very well in the spot I hoped.
