Good idea that I charge the box outside with the sun. Bad idea no charge Green box outside with the sun.It didn't work at all. I followed directions and it didn't workThis light is a handy light for when camping, or when you want to have some light without the normal electric options. I'll start with the positives. First off, the panel and the bulbs are not glass, so they are lighter in weight, so they are easier to carry. These will also be more durable, so they don’t have to be as careful when packing or when using. This is a nice benefit for me since I go camping with four kids and I am a bit of a butterfinger at times. At first, I was a little bummed about all the plastic, but then I used them and realized how much easier they were that way.The other positive is that the lights are quite bright. They can be plugged in one at a time or more, so you have more options to choose from for lighting to conserve power. This is great if you have a day with less sun or you forgot to charge the battery all the way. There is also a decent selection of chords to charge other devices with a handy splitter. I was also surprised by how easy this is to use; there are not a bunch of extra options to make things complicated. Now for the bad. There is a mislabel for the battery size. The box comes with a 7000 mah battery, not a 9000 like the ad shows. This is shown more than once, so I included a couple of screenshots to show the issue. 2000 is a pretty big difference when you are making a decision on purchasing, so I wanted to ensure that was called out. The other issue that I have with the light is that there is no indicator on the light to show the level of charge on the device. So you can go in the evening to use the lights, and then ten minutes later, you're dead because it didn’t get the charge you thought. The only indicator that is there is to show if it is full. After that, it is anyone’s guess. The lights have a good span of time with the battery if it is full, but if you are using it differently, such as charging an MP3 player and using the main light, who knows how long you will have power? One thing I would have liked, and I am not marking this down, is a way to separate the light, like if there was a little light that would be able to go with one person while the main light stayed back at camp. There are other options, but that would be a nice little feature.A misnomer - This is not a generator. This is a battery pack with DC charging options. There is no AC battery pack included but most any USBA charger. The power pack comes with a solar panel for outdoor charging. The panel is quite nice. Rather than include a basic plastic panel it has a higher end glass panel. The pack also has two flashlights on one side as well as a light bar for general illumination. The kit also has 3 led bulbs that each attach to one of the 4 barrel ports. Could the kit use USB ports instead? Certainly but it’s not such a bad thing at the going price to have it use older barrel ports for the led bulbs. The question is where and how do you get a 4th bulb or any other led product compatible with the remaining port.At $40 MSRP it’s not a bad choice. This battery bank is very very light and portable, it came mostly charged and charged the rest up quickly from the solar panel. Immediately I noticed this isn't superior quality, it's very lightweight plastic but does everything it says which is good value for emergencies or camping. Battery lasted upwards of 8hrs running a desk fan on medium which I thought was impressive for this smallish battery. It does come with alot of adapters and a cool string of lights. For the cost I would recommendI wasnt to impressed with the lights on this power bank. They were dim, all of them and the hanging lights are very cheaply made and also the casing for the battery itself. But it did charge and it worked. The solar panel although very low watts was the best thing about this product. It worked better than any other I have used and is well-madearrived timely and was what i ordered. works, charges with sun or usb cord. however for being 5,000mah it seems to drain rather quickly!! but its a decent power bank and will work in a pinch for a edc or just around the house. happy with the seller and product and will buy from again. This is really a pretty handy little setup. Very light, it would be very easy to take camping. It comes with nice set of cable ends to facilitate powering items via the USB port on the back. The little 3W solar panel has a couple kickstands to help better point the panel. I charged the unit on the back porch in an afternoon. When the panel is plugged in, the red LED light is on; when it's actually charging, the blue LED comes on. The green LED (shown "on" in the picture) shows when the system is On via the red power switch, to allow powering of items connected. The black power switch turns on the side light. There's a thumb switch on the handle that turns on the flashlight component at the front.Along the bottom, there are four power connects. The three included LED bulbs each plug individually into one of them. I had blindly assumed all three bulbs were on the same cable, so it might be a challenge to string and hang these bulbs in the camp site. Each bulb does have an independent power switch, which can be useful.I don't have a complete picture in terms of battery life, but if it's even close to the advertised 9000mAh that should be a fair amount of capacity. And given the ability to recharge via the solar panel, this provides good flexibility.Impressed so far...
