i mean, it generally works, but if the battery is full and it goes into "float mode" the voltage runs away, 14.6v is very common for me to see on the voltmeter when the sun is out and my battery is full, frequently seen it go to 15v before cutting out and dropping back down. I think the only reason to buy these is to keep as back ups if you can't afford higher end charge controller back ups. even just a cheap renogy wanderer is probably a better option even as a back up. This will get tossed in my SHTF pile and probably won't get used unless society collapses and all my other charge controllers die....in other words, I probably won't use this unless i have no other options.On a slightly less critical note, i've had worse charge controllers that cost slightly more, 3 stars because the price was so low it didn't hurt my feelings. If i had paid more than $10 i'd probably would have returned it.
