My mom saw this recommended on fb and I was thinking it was BS. But I live in Florida and have a large (18’X33’) above ground salt pool. I was very doubtful when I bought it. However I’ve had it since June 2022 we’ve had a TON of rain which usually means shocking the pool; or the 100 degree weather will also take a toll on the PH ; BUT absolutely NOTHING has been added or done to my crystal clear pool in 3 months. This is very unusual for me. The only maintenance has been cleaning the coils in the ionizer. That’s it! Unbelievable and when this one wears out, I’LL BE BUYING ANOTHER!!Best purchase for my pool had to use very little chlorine.. Great product that will get rid of algee for goodThe seal on this ionizer was loose and I could see that it would fill up with water. Sooo, after reading some reviews,,, I bought a tube of clear silicone and sealed the top ring real good and it works great! Has been rained on several times and it keeps on working and the pool looks great!I didn't even know this device existed and with the absolutely insane prices of pool chemicals these days, I was willing to give this a shot. And MAN it made my whole summer! While you still need to vacuum and put some chemicals in once in a while, this handy dandy device really really helped stretch what chemicals we had to use. I only wish I knew about this sooner! It is a "Must Have" for every pool owner!I live in Texas its been over 100 degrees every day for months. I got to the point of filling my 14500 gal inground pool with dirt and planting a garden. it was a struggle with algae constantly. my son read on the ionizer and suggested we tried it. we had no other choice. my god what a change, crystal clear water and less than 1/2 the chemicals. it took about 2 weeks. I have already passed the information and results to my friends with pools. they could not believe the clarity of the water. thank you XtremepowerUS 90119 Solar Purifier Pool IonizerI'm not sure if i got a dud or what. Getting just as much algae, and when i use the test strips provided the copper is at the minimum.We opened our pool 3.5 weeks ago and introduced this into our pool about 3 weeks ago. Since we have done nothing except run our filter pump and our vacuum. With Temps being over 100 for all but about 5 of those days we would normally have been fighting the algae & scale and having to shock it at least once if not more by now.My husband says this is the best investment I talked him into buying.I will review again or update my review again in another 4 weeks.This product has saved me money on chemicals. Highly recommend.
